Announcement of the Elective Course to be Opened within the scope of the European Union supported project: FORESIGHT<\/strong><\/p>\n

September 3rd<\/sup>, 2019<\/p>\n

Within the scope of the project entitled \u201cFORESIGHT \u2013 Future Oriented Education for Students Incorporating GSC (Grand Societal Challenges) in High-paced Times\u201d carried out with the support of the European Union by our University and universities from the Netherlands, Spain, Hungary and Belgium, an elective course entitled \u201cFORESIGHT\u201d will be offered in the Fall 2019 semester. The course, the medium of instruction of which will be English, will be intended for junior (3rd<\/sup> year) and senior (4th<\/sup> year) students studying in the undergraduate programs of the Faculty of Business Administration that offer instruction in English, i.e. Business Administration in English and Economics \u00a0in English programs that offer instruction entirely in English as well as other undergraduate programs offered under the Faculty of Business Administration that offer 30% of the courses in English.<\/p>\n

Information on the course content is given in Appendix-1. The course \u201cFORESIGHT\u201d will be offered by Rectorate as a course of 5 ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System), and a maximum of 15 students will be able to enroll in the course.<\/p>\n

Within the scope of the course, students will take part in research work on topics such as global problems and United Nations sustainable development goals, and develop joint projects with students from the universities located in project partner countries on topics such as local innovative solutions to global problems, new business ideas and social entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n

The interested students will also have the opportunity to participate in a one-week workshop to be held in the city of Antwerp of Belgium in January 2020, with all travel and accommodation expenses covered by the EU.<\/p>\n

Students interested in enrolling in the course will go through a two-stage evaluation process, and the students who will be found eligible based on the results of the said evaluation process will be able to enroll in the course. The first stage will feature submission of an article by, and the second stage will feature an interview conducted with, the candidate students.<\/p>\n

Accordingly, students who would like to enroll in the course should submit their articles which are not\u00a0 to exceed 2500 words to the following e-mail address: abmerkezi@ticaret.edu.tr<\/a> by September 11th<\/sup>, 2019, 17.00 pm, at the latest.<\/p>\n

Following the evaluation of the articles submitted, candidate students will be interviewed by a jury to be established by the European Union Application and Research Center of our University as the unit running the project, to consist of our academic staff that take part in the project, and consequentially, the list of the students who can enroll in the course will be determined.<\/p>\n
