GENERAL INFORMATION

Adopting the concept of “Local Identity, Global Vision” as a guiding principle, Istanbul Commerce University was founded in 2001 with the strong support of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce. Our university is located in Istanbul, one of the world capitals of culture. Learning, and achieving progress in the heart of Istanbul will provide our prospective students with variety of unique opportunities and experiments. The Graduate School of Foreign Trade started its graduate education programs in the 2013-2014 Academic Year Fall Semester.

The Graduate School of Foreign Trade aims to create a new horizon in research and teaching through a range of strong and experienced academic staff. The purpose of the Graduate School of Foreign Trade ıs is to encourage and support excellence in graduate education and research. We offer a broad range of forward-looking and inspiring programs that will help our prospective students to develop professional skills as well as strong theoretical background.

DEPARTMENTS    

The Graduate School of Foreign Trade consists of four exclusive departments that enable our students to specialize in their sphere of study. Our graduate programs include International Trade, Global Marketing and Brand Management, International Commercial Law and the European Union. Prospective students can find the program they wish to study, and shape their future.

ACQUIREMENTS

Studying a graduate program lets students develop a deeper understanding of the chosen program, considerably increases students’ foresight as well as gives them an opportunity for better preparing for the career path ahead. On the shore of the Golden Horn, students will have an opportunity to interact with classmates from all over the world and learn from their professors and lecturers who are both experts in their particular field and in the world of business.  Furthermore, our prospective students can use our resources and institutional environment to make their own way forward. With our stakeholders such as Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, World Trade Center, and Teknopark Istanbul, we offer our students an unconventional and rare ecosystem.

DISCOVERING DIFFERENT CULTURES

Our students and the faculty members can take the opportunity to join the Erasmus exchange programs and gain unique experience in an international atmosphere. Each year students enrolled at Istanbul Commerce University can also study at partner universities in Europe for one or two terms, and students coming from these universities are educated in our university. Exchange agreements have been signed with 64 reputable universities in 19 European countries. In other words, with our graduate programs we provide the opportunity to study abroad via international exchange programs and to complete internships within the scope of Erasmus+ programme. In this way, provide our students with the opportunity to expand their knowledge and experience within a wider framework by studying in different countries.

STUDENT LIFE

Along with academic and scientific research, cultural and social activities are of great importance at our university. Seminars, webinars, conferences and symposiums, scientific discussions and various exhibitions and concerts, theatre performances and dance activities are frequent events at our university. Our students can take advantage of all the benefits that come with being part of our student community. Our students, therefore, have the opportunity to express and develop themselves at various panels, conferences, interviews and artistic activities organized within the framework of club events.
