The aim of the Urban Systems and Transportation Management Master’s Program is to provide expertise to individuals who have graduated from the related four-year undergraduate departments by transferring their knowledge and experience in the fields of urbanization and transportation systems. In proportion to the rapidly increasing population, various urbanization and transportation system problems occur in cities. Many small and large-scale urbanization and transportation projects are carried out to eliminate current problems. One of the aims of this graduate program is to train national human resources who can produce competent and scientific solutions. It will also help individuals who want to develop their careers by offering innovative ideas for planning and operating transportation systems and how to carry out urban development and transportation planning. In addition, this program will present to the candidates, who want to advance their careers, innovative ideas for the planning and operation of transportation systems and ideas on the ways of caring out urban development and transportation planning.

The language of instruction of the program in both thesis and non-thesis options of it will be Turkish.

The program is a multi-disciplinary program which is premised on such disciplines as general engineering, planning, and management. Those who will graduate from this program will also gain competence in the preparation, management, and implementation, decision-making processes of a project in the public or private sector, in managerial or technical staff positions.

Urban Systems and Transport Management Master’s Program is oriented to the candidates who strive to improve themselves in the field of transportation, increase their knowledge and experience, aim to get senior management position in the institutions and organizations they work with, become expert on the projects carried out within the scope of his/her authority in the institutions and organizations he/she works with. The program is oriented to candidates who want to work and take part in mega projects which are being implemented in our country in the fields of urban and transportation.
