Finance and Banking<\/strong> Department trains businessmen, banking and finance professionals and academics of the future. The strong academic staff of our department, in addition to undergraduate education, also continues postgraduate and undergraduate education within the scope of the Finance Institute of our university.<\/p>\n

Finance<\/strong>, Banking<\/strong>, Capital Markets, Insurance and Risk Management areas of expertise are available within the body of the Finance Institute, which is the first and only in Turkey. Department’s academic staff with academic and industry experience train students by combining the innovative learning techniques of the age with practice and theory. Our department and academic staff are intertwined with the industry.<\/p>\n

Thanks to the special software developed in the “Branch Simulation and Application Laboratory” established in cooperation with Vak\u0131fbank, students are provided with a real banking experience in practice. The courses are given by faculty members who have long-term senior management experience in the sector.<\/p>\n

In addition, students who want to improve themselves in the field of Capital Markets receive training in the BISTLAB laboratory, which was established in cooperation with Borsa \u0130stanbul, through databases and statistical programs widely used in the sector such as Reuters Eikon, Matriks, EViews.<\/p>\n

In this way, students have the opportunity to implement capital market and banking applications before they even start their business life. In addition, our students are in direct contact with the founding will of the university, the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ITO) and the Financial Sector Committee. In this context, overseas education and travel opportunities are offered to our successful students. In addition, our students get job and internship opportunities in thousands of distinguished companies, both within the body of ITO and in ITO members.<\/p>\n

The language of instruction in our department has been English since 2020. The reason for this is to provide qualified workforce for the aim of integrating our students with international markets and making Istanbul an International Financial Center. As a department, seminars and workshops are organized in order to enable students to benefit from the experiences of international researchers and industry professionals.<\/p>\n

In addition, students who wish and fulfill the conditions have the opportunity to participate in the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management summer school, one of the leading universities in Europe, on a contractual basis and gain experience.<\/p>\n

In order to catch up with the rapid change in national and international markets, we invite candidates who want to take part in the finance and banking sectors to the Finance Banking Department, the address where practice and theory combine.<\/p>\n
