{"id":1269,"date":"2025-01-26T17:10:44","date_gmt":"2025-01-26T14:10:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ticaret.edu.tr\/havacilik-yonetimi\/?page_id=1269"},"modified":"2026-01-20T13:45:53","modified_gmt":"2026-01-20T10:45:53","slug":"double-major-minor-lateral-transfer","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/ticaret.edu.tr\/havacilik-yonetimi\/en\/double-major-minor-lateral-transfer\/","title":{"rendered":"Double Major-Minor \/ Lateral Transfer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Double Major Program (DMP)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Program Description: The Double Major Program allows students who excel in their main department to obtain a second degree by taking courses from another undergraduate program.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Application Requirements:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Being enrolled in an undergraduate program at the university<br \/>\nHaving successfully completed all courses up to the semester of application<br \/>\nHaving a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.72\/4.00 (70 out of 100)<br \/>\nBeing in the top 20% of the class in terms of academic ranking<br \/>\nMeeting the minimum score requirements for the double major program (if the 20% requirement is not met)<br \/>\nApplications for the double major program can be made from the 3rd semester onwards, and must be submitted no later than the 5th semester.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Graduation Requirements:<\/strong><br \/>\nDouble major students cannot receive their second major diploma without graduating from their first major program.<br \/>\nTo graduate from the second major program, a GPA of 2.72\/4.00 or higher is required.<br \/>\nThe total number of credits taken in the double major program, including compulsory and elective courses, must be at least 240.<\/li>\n<li>\n<strong>For Details:<\/strong> Double Major and Minor Program Regulations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Minor Program<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Program Description: A minor program is an additional educational program that allows students to gain knowledge in another related field alongside their undergraduate degree. A minor program does not provide a second degree, but students who successfully complete it receive a minor certificate.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Application Requirements:<\/strong><br \/>\nEnrollment in an undergraduate program<br \/>\nApplications can be made from the 3rd semester onwards<br \/>\nA minimum GPA of 2.60\/4.00 is required<br \/>\nMinor programs are opened with the approval of the faculty board<\/li>\n<li><strong>Graduation Requirements:<\/strong><br \/>\nA total of 24 ECTS credits must be taken in the minor program<br \/>\nA minimum GPA of 2.30\/4.00 is required<br \/>\nStudents who complete the minor program are entitled to receive a minor certificate<br \/>\nStudents who have not graduated from the major program cannot receive a certificate even if they have completed the minor program<\/li>\n<li><strong>For Details:<\/strong> Double Major and Minor Program Regulations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Transfer (Intra-institutional and Inter-institutional)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Program Description: Transfer is a system that allows students to transfer to another higher education program without completing their current program. Transfers can be made intra-institutionally (within the same university) or inter-institutionally (to different universities).<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Application Requirements:<\/strong><br \/>\nAssociate and undergraduate students can transfer horizontally.<br \/>\nTo be eligible for horizontal transfer, the GPA must be at least 2.29\/4.00 (60 out of 100).<br \/>\nThe student must have a score equal to or higher than the minimum score of the program they wish to transfer to.<br \/>\nHorizontal transfers cannot be made in the first or last semesters.<br \/>\nThere is no GPA requirement for students who wish to transfer horizontally with their \u00d6SYM (Student Selection and Placement System) score.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Application Process:<\/strong><br \/>\nApplications are accepted on the dates specified in the academic calendar.<br \/>\nThe GPA and central placement score of the applicants are evaluated.
