{"id":1612,"date":"2025-01-26T19:32:39","date_gmt":"2025-01-26T16:32:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ticaret.edu.tr\/iktisat\/?page_id=1612"},"modified":"2025-07-09T15:22:36","modified_gmt":"2025-07-09T12:22:36","slug":"double-major-minor-lateral-transfer","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/ticaret.edu.tr\/iktisat\/en\/double-major-minor-lateral-transfer\/","title":{"rendered":"Double Major-Minor \/ Lateral Transfer"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 data-start=\"0\" data-end=\"39\"><strong data-start=\"4\" data-end=\"37\">\ud83c\udf93 Double Major Program (DMP)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"41\" data-end=\"247\">\ud83d\udccd <strong data-start=\"44\" data-end=\"68\">Program Description:<\/strong><br data-start=\"68\" data-end=\"71\" \/>The <strong data-start=\"75\" data-end=\"105\">Double Major Program (DMP)<\/strong> allows academically successful students to take courses from another undergraduate program and obtain a <strong data-start=\"210\" data-end=\"228\">second diploma<\/strong> upon completion.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"249\" data-end=\"282\">\u2705 <strong data-start=\"251\" data-end=\"280\">Application Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"283\" data-end=\"834\">\n<li data-start=\"283\" data-end=\"349\">Must be enrolled in an undergraduate program at the university<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"350\" data-end=\"427\">Must have successfully completed all courses up to the application period<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"428\" data-end=\"509\"><strong data-start=\"430\" data-end=\"507\">Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) must be at least 2.72\/4.00 (70\/100)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li data-start=\"510\" data-end=\"596\">The student must be in the <strong data-start=\"539\" data-end=\"594\">top 20% of their class in terms of academic ranking<\/strong><\/li>\n<li data-start=\"597\" data-end=\"701\">Must meet the <strong data-start=\"613\" data-end=\"647\">minimum base score requirement<\/strong> of the second major program (if not in the top 20%)<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"702\" data-end=\"834\">Applications for the double major program can be made from the <strong data-start=\"767\" data-end=\"791\">3rd semester onwards<\/strong>, and no later than the <strong data-start=\"815\" data-end=\"831\">5th semester<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"836\" data-end=\"869\">\ud83d\udccc <strong data-start=\"839\" data-end=\"867\">Graduation Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"870\" data-end=\"1190\">\n<li data-start=\"870\" data-end=\"986\"><strong data-start=\"872\" data-end=\"984\">Students cannot receive their second major diploma without first graduating from their primary major program<\/strong><\/li>\n<li data-start=\"987\" data-end=\"1075\">To graduate from the second major, the student\u2019s <strong data-start=\"1038\" data-end=\"1073\">CGPA must be at least 2.72\/4.00<\/strong><\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1076\" data-end=\"1190\">The total coursework, including compulsory and elective courses, must <strong data-start=\"1148\" data-end=\"1188\">consist of at least 240 ECTS credits<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1192\" data-end=\"1261\">\ud83d\udd17 <strong data-start=\"1195\" data-end=\"1216\">For More Details:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mevzuat.gov.tr\/mevzuat?MevzuatNo=7266&amp;MevzuatTur=8&amp;MevzuatTertip=5\">Double Major &amp; Minor Program Regulations<\/a><\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"1263\" data-end=\"1266\" \/>\n<h3 data-start=\"1268\" data-end=\"1294\"><strong data-start=\"1272\" data-end=\"1292\">\ud83c\udf93 Minor Program<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1296\" data-end=\"1563\">\ud83d\udccd <strong data-start=\"1299\" data-end=\"1323\">Program Description:<\/strong><br data-start=\"1323\" data-end=\"1326\" \/>The <strong data-start=\"1330\" data-end=\"1347\">Minor Program<\/strong> allows students to gain knowledge in another field in addition to their major. This program <strong data-start=\"1440\" data-end=\"1475\">does not grant a second diploma<\/strong>; however, students who successfully complete it will receive a <strong data-start=\"1539\" data-end=\"1560\">minor certificate<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1565\" data-end=\"1598\">\u2705 <strong data-start=\"1567\" data-end=\"1596\">Application Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1599\" data-end=\"1843\">\n<li data-start=\"1599\" data-end=\"1647\">Must be enrolled in an undergraduate program<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1648\" data-end=\"1715\">Applications can be submitted <strong data-start=\"1680\" data-end=\"1713\">from the 3rd semester onwards<\/strong><\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1716\" data-end=\"1755\"><strong data-start=\"1718\" data-end=\"1753\">CGPA must be at least 2.60\/4.00<\/strong><\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1756\" data-end=\"1843\">Minor programs are opened with the <strong data-start=\"1793\" data-end=\"1841\">approval of the faculty administrative board<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1845\" data-end=\"1878\">\ud83d\udccc <strong data-start=\"1848\" data-end=\"1876\">Graduation Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1879\" data-end=\"2246\">\n<li data-start=\"1879\" data-end=\"1959\">Students must complete a <strong data-start=\"1906\" data-end=\"1936\">minimum of 24 ECTS credits<\/strong> in the minor program<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1960\" data-end=\"1999\"><strong data-start=\"1962\" data-end=\"1997\">CGPA must be at least 2.30\/4.00<\/strong><\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2000\" data-end=\"2096\">Students who complete the minor program successfully <strong data-start=\"2055\" data-end=\"2094\">will be awarded a Minor Certificate<\/strong><\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2097\" data-end=\"2246\">Students who <strong data-start=\"2112\" data-end=\"2156\">do not graduate from their major program<\/strong> will not receive their minor certificate, even if they have completed the minor program<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"2248\" data-end=\"2317\">\ud83d\udd17 <strong data-start=\"2251\" data-end=\"2272\">For More Details:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mevzuat.gov.tr\/mevzuat?MevzuatNo=7266&amp;MevzuatTur=8&amp;MevzuatTertip=5\">Double Major &amp; Minor Program Regulations<\/a><\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"2319\" data-end=\"2322\" \/>\n<h3 data-start=\"2324\" data-end=\"2375\"><strong data-start=\"2328\" data-end=\"2373\">\ud83c\udf93 Lateral Transfer (Internal &amp; External)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"2377\" data-end=\"2666\">\ud83d\udccd <strong data-start=\"2380\" data-end=\"2404\">Program Description:<\/strong><br data-start=\"2404\" data-end=\"2407\" \/><strong data-start=\"2407\" data-end=\"2427\">Lateral Transfer<\/strong> allows students to transfer to another higher education program <strong data-start=\"2492\" data-end=\"2535\">before completing their current program<\/strong>.
