{"id":1703,"date":"2025-01-26T19:45:30","date_gmt":"2025-01-26T16:45:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ticaret.edu.tr\/iktisat\/?page_id=1703"},"modified":"2026-01-26T14:22:16","modified_gmt":"2026-01-26T11:22:16","slug":"departments-quality-assurance-policy","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/ticaret.edu.tr\/iktisat\/en\/departments-quality-assurance-policy\/","title":{"rendered":"Department&#8217;s Quality Assurance Policy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"85\" data-end=\"140\"><strong data-start=\"85\" data-end=\"140\">To ensure the quality of higher education programs:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"142\" data-end=\"1046\">\n<li data-start=\"142\" data-end=\"364\">\n<p data-start=\"144\" data-end=\"364\">The Council of Higher Education (Y\u00d6K) is responsible for the planning, organization, management, and supervision of education and training activities and other operations carried out at higher education institutions.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"366\" data-end=\"693\">\n<p data-start=\"368\" data-end=\"693\">Within the framework of the criteria determined by Y\u00d6K, \u201cUniversity Monitoring and Evaluation Reports\u201d for higher education institutions are published annually. Based on these reports, quantitative and qualitative evaluation reports prepared for higher education institutions are also made available to the public by Y\u00d6K.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"695\" data-end=\"1046\">\n<p data-start=\"697\" data-end=\"1046\">Each year, Y\u00d6K publishes the \u201cFoundation Higher Education Institutions Report,\u201d which includes the academic, administrative, and financial data of foundation (private) higher education institutions. These reports, containing quantitative and qualitative evaluations of foundation higher education institutions, are shared with the public by Y\u00d6K.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr data-start=\"1048\" data-end=\"1051\" \/>\n<p data-start=\"1053\" data-end=\"1257\">Quality assurance for undergraduate programs in higher education is provided in accordance with the \u201cPrinciples and Procedures for Ensuring the Quality Assurance of Higher Education Diploma Programs\u201d:<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"1259\" data-end=\"1311\">1. Development and Approval of Academic Programs<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1313\" data-end=\"1484\"><strong data-start=\"1313\" data-end=\"1321\">1.1.<\/strong> Y\u00d6K determines the minimum standards and criteria required for the establishment of undergraduate departments and programs at higher education institutions.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1486\" data-end=\"1726\">1.2. The curriculum of undergraduate programs and the learning outcomes to be acquired by students in each program are determined by the senates of higher education institutions, in line with the fundamental principles set by Y\u00d6K.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1728\" data-end=\"1920\">1.3. The curricula of National Core Education Programs are implemented by higher education institutions following their acceptance by the relevant Council of Deans and approval by Y\u00d6K.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"1927\" data-end=\"1959\">2. Assessment and Evaluation<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1961\" data-end=\"2266\">The assessment and evaluation of the learning outcomes to be acquired by students in each undergraduate program are carried out in accordance with the education, training, and examination regulations prepared by higher education institutions, in line with the fundamental principles determined by Y\u00d6K.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"2273\" data-end=\"2293\">3. Certification<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"2295\" data-end=\"2502\">Students enrolled in undergraduate programs are awarded a Bachelor\u2019s Degree upon successfully completing the required course credits and other obligations determined by the higher education institutions.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"2509\" data-end=\"2555\">4. Self-Evaluation and External Evaluation<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"2557\" data-end=\"2836\">Within the framework of continuous monitoring, higher education institutions submit their <strong data-start=\"2647\" data-end=\"2694\">\u201c<\/strong>Institutional Internal Evaluation Reports\u201d for the previous year at the beginning of each year to the Information System prepared by the Higher Education Quality Council (Y\u00d6KAK).<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2838\" data-end=\"3179\">Y\u00d6KAK shares with the public the <strong data-start=\"2871\" data-end=\"2906\">\u201c<\/strong>Institutional Feedback Report\u201d it prepares regarding the external evaluation of higher education institutions. In addition, accreditation decisions issued by accreditation bodies authorized or recognized by Y\u00d6KAK serve as evidence that the quality assurance of program qualifications has been ensured.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3181\" data-end=\"3303\">In accordance with Y\u00d6KAK regulations, regular review activities are conducted regarding the qualifications determined.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>To ensure the quality of higher education programs: The Council of Higher Education (Y\u00d6K) is responsible for the planning, organization, management, and supervision of education and training activities and other operations carried out at higher education institutions.
