Message from the Head of Department<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Istanbul Commerce University<\/a> Department of Business Administration started its educational activities in the 2001-2002 Fall Semester and continues to educate students in the S\u00fctl\u00fcce campus with nearly 400 students in the 2018-2019 education period.<\/p>\n

Business Administration is a science; that teaches choosing the right job and doing the chosen job correctly. Our department aims to train its students in the best way. They can choose the right job. They do it correctly in a competitive environment at the national-global level.<\/p>\n

The aim of the department is to train entrepreneurs and managers,\u00a0 who have mastered management and business functions, think globally,\u00a0 and have the ability to act nationally and globally for the national and global enterprises in the private sector, to public institutions and to NGOs.\u00a0 Our department has adopted the principle of providing; value, innovation, entrepreneurship, gaining experience and being result-oriented in its education and training activities. In this direction, it directs its students to research and creativity.<\/p>\n

In the Department of Business Administration; students are offered compulsory and elective courses, foreign language courses and voluntary internship opportunities; which are constantly updated in the direction of national-global developments. Courses taken in the curriculum of business organizations designed to assimilate basic functions such as management, R&D, purchasing, production\/operation, marketing, sales, after-sales service, finance, accounting, human resources and information technologies. The problems of business life are brought to the field of examination and evaluation in a way to cover different sectors; and types of businesses with the examples discussed in the lessons and the practices realized.<\/p>\n

In the Department of Business Administration, opportunities are offered at various levels; for students to grow up as individuals who think, research, be creative, innovative, entrepreneurial, and make constructive contributions to their country and the world. Student groups, workplace trips, conferences-congresses are some of these opportunities. There are also opportunities for vocational seminars and overseas fair trips.<\/p>\n

The rate of participation of our graduates in business life; in their own branches is at the level of 95%. Entrepreneur coaching, workplace internships, opportunities to meet international trade delegations and participate in fair teams, offered together with the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce,<\/a> will increase this rate even more in the coming years. The Department of Business Administration is the \u201cright choice\u201d for our students,\u00a0 who dream of being ready for global competition. As the head of the department, I always keep my door open to students. I see it as a professional duty to deal with them closely. As a department, we support our students with all means. It’s our greatest ideal to enable our students to realize their dreams come true.<\/p>\n

Our department\u00a0mission is\u00a0conducting\u00a0research in the direction of national and global expectations and offering\u00a0value to its stakeholders; and training innovative employees, leaders and entrepreneurs who behave ethically, are aware of their social responsibilities, improve\u00a0themselves with the understanding of lifelong learning, can work in teams, and\u00a0use technology.<\/p>\n
