The core mission of modern universities is to prepare young individuals for the requirements of the era and equip them with distinctive, high-level qualifications. At our Department of Logistics Management, we focus on ensuring students acquire the specific knowledge, skills, and competencies demanded by the global logistics industry. Our primary goal is to train qualified human resources capable of managing the complex processes and operations within both specialized logistics firms and the logistics departments of diverse corporate sectors.<\/p>\n
Logistics is the strategic process of transporting, storing, and delivering raw materials, products, and equipment from one point to another to sustain life and commercial activity. Whether within specialized “logistics firms” or corporate “logistics departments,” this function acts much like the circulatory system<\/b> of a body. Through procurement, transfer, and supply functions, essential goods and services are manufactured in factories and brought to consumers.<\/p>\n
A world without logistics is inconceivable. Logistics encompasses:<\/p>\n
Procurement<\/b> and sourcing<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Storage<\/b> and warehousing<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Shipping<\/b> and transportation<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Distribution<\/b> for end-user access<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n Logistics professionals operate on a global scale, utilizing land, air, and sea transportation to move products. They manage temporary storage, facilitate the flow from massive hubs to local warehouses, and coordinate between wholesalers and retailers. In today’s interconnected world, international trade liberalization has transformed logistics into an increasingly vital and complex sector. Consequently, there is a growing demand for professional managers who can oversee these continuous functions, largely within digital environments<\/b>.<\/p>\n Logistics Management is defined as delivering clearly defined resources to the desired location, at the required quality, exactly on time, and at an optimal cost. This process involves multifaceted relationship building, meticulous time planning, intensive communication, product\/document control, and human resources management.<\/p>\n Our graduates emerge as “process leaders”<\/b> who organize and manage the entire supply chain.<\/p>\n The Logistics Management curriculum balances contemporary theoretical knowledge with practical business skills. Students gain a competitive edge through:<\/p>\n KOSGEB Partnership:<\/b> Per our university’s protocol, students who succeed in the “Entrepreneurship and Project Design” course are officially recognized as having completed KOSGEB Entrepreneurship Training<\/b>. This provides them with direct access to state incentives and support when establishing their own businesses.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Hazardous Materials Certification:<\/b> Students who complete the relevant coursework can obtain the “Dangerous Goods Carrier Certificate,”<\/b> placing them a step ahead of their peers in the professional field.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Academic Progression:<\/b> Graduates wishing to pursue an academic path or high-level corporate careers can transition directly into our Master\u2019s Program in Logistics<\/b>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n The Logistics Society:<\/b> Our students organize under the “Logistics Society” club, inviting industry leaders for conferences, organizing site visits, and taking on roles in social responsibility projects.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n To ensure a seamless transition into professional life, our program emphasizes practical experience:<\/p>\n Summer Internships:<\/b> A mandatory 20-day summer internship is required in the second and third years.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Workplace Training (Sector Immersion):<\/b> We offer an optional 90-day “Workplace Training” program. Students can spend their eighth semester working full-time in the industry.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Insurance & Employment:<\/b> During this period, social security (SGK) premiums are covered by the university.
