Is internship compulsory in the Department of Mathematics?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

No. Internship is not compulsory in the Department of Mathematics. Students may take the elective internship course if they wish.<\/p>\n

How many ECTS credits is the elective internship?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The elective internship course is 5 ECTS<\/strong> and is counted as a departmental elective course<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

When can the elective internship be completed?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The internship can only be completed during the summer period<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

What is the duration of the internship?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The duration of the elective internship is 20 working days<\/strong>. Official public holidays are not included in this period.<\/p>\n

Steps to Be Followed for the Internship<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Procedures Before the Internship<\/strong><\/h3>\n
    \n
  • A hard copy of the Internship Logbook<\/strong> must be obtained.<\/li>\n
  • Annex-1<\/strong> form in the internship forms must be completed and approved by the Head of the Department<\/strong>.
    \n(Note: After completion, the original form must be submitted to the Academic Internship Advisor, and a photocopy must be submitted to the Career Center.)<\/em><\/li>\n
  • If the institution where the internship will be carried out requires an official letter, Annex-2<\/strong> form must be completed.<\/li>\n
  • Annex-3<\/strong>, which is the SGK (Social Security Institution) notification form, must be completed and submitted to the Career Center<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  • Page 2 of the internship logbook must be completed and submitted to the Career Center<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Procedures During the Internship<\/strong><\/h3>\n
      \n
    • During the internship period (20 working days<\/strong>), weekly and daily report pages<\/strong> must be completed.<\/li>\n
    • Each report page must include the signature and stamp of the relevant institution<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Procedures After the Internship<\/strong><\/h3>\n
        \n
      • Annex-4<\/strong> in the internship logbook must be completed. (It will remain in the logbook.)<\/em><\/li>\n
      • Annex-5<\/strong> in the internship forms must be completed by the supervisor at the institution and delivered to the student in a sealed envelope<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
      • Annex-6<\/strong> in the internship logbook must be completed. (It will remain in the logbook.)<\/em><\/li>\n
      • Annex-7<\/strong> in the internship logbook will be completed by a faculty member<\/strong> and will not<\/strong> be added to the internship logbook.<\/li>\n
      • Social security entry and exit documents<\/strong> obtained from the Career Center or via e-government<\/strong> must be attached to the end of the internship logbook.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
