Master’s Program in Public Law

Master’s degree in Public Law includes both thesis and non-thesis options. Graduates who have completed their undergraduate degree in the Faculty of Law can apply to the Public Law Graduate Programs. Master’s program with thesis consists of at least eight courses, a seminar course and a thesis study. The master’s program with thesis allows the student to gain the ability to access, compile, interpret and evaluate information using scientific research methods. The non-thesis master’s program consists of at least 10 courses and a term project course. The non-thesis master’s program demonstrates how to use the existing knowledge in practice by providing the student with knowledge on professional issues. During the course phase, students can take compulsory and elective courses from public law disciplines such as constitutional law, criminal law, administrative law, international law, legal history, general public law, tax law.

The envisaged contributions of the Public Law program to graduates are as follows:

  • Gaining knowledge and skills to use scientific methods and research techniques in public law,
  • Interpreting and evaluating the theoretical and practical legal problems within the framework of the concepts, sources, principles, and institutions of public law,
  • Critically discussing historical and current public law issues at an expert level,
  • Evaluating theoretical and applied public law problems by using comparative law,
  • Being equipped with an advanced level of academic career and research in various disciplines of public law,
  • Gaining necessary knowledge and skills to understand and solve public law problems in theory and practice with legal logic at an expert level.
