T\u00fcrko\u011flu first mentioned that it is necessary to have historical awareness and knowledge in order to design. He stated that the first people met their covering needs from animal hides, and later they obtained mat-like textile surfaces from plant shells and animal wool. He stated that some clothes, traditions and foods have continued since the Hittite, Phrygian and Ionian periods. He talked about textiles in Rome, Byzantium, Seljuk and Ottoman times. He stated that the titles used in Byzantium and Ottoman times were similar. He explained that European women used some details in their clothes inspired by the clothes of the Turks. At the end of the seminar, Head of Textile and Fashion Design Department Assoc.
