The aim of our Ph.D. Program is to educate future scientists and to create knowledge and technological developments that can solve current problems. . Our research can be transferred to the industry through TeknoPark and thus add value to the national and international economy. Research in computer engineering is generally based on three principles: method, software, and hardware development. New methods developed to solve the problems are then converted into software and hardware. Today, since developing effective systems is the focus of research, the algorithm on which the solution is based is simple, and the hardware and software to implement it are small and cheap. Since computers are in every field of our daily life, research topics in this field are also varied. The research areas of our program can be grouped under the headings of Computer Graphics, Computer Networks, Artificial Intelligence, Embedded Systems, Image Processing, and Distributed Systems. Since the subjects are generally taken from real life, it is likely that the researches will find application areas. This situation gives our researchers belief and research enthusiasm. Our Doctorate Program aims to provide candidates with a Master’s degree which enables them to study scientific events in depth and produce effective solutions. The program consists of two sections, a lecture and a thesis. Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in Electrical-Electronics Engineering or Industrial Engineering Departments, candidates with master’s degree in Mathematics or Physics as well as candidates from the Graduate Programs with Thesis of the Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences can apply for this Ph.D. program. Such a wide spectrum is the result of the our academic staff’s ability to be open to multidisciplinary studies.
