ISTANBUL TICARET UNIVERSITY RESEARCH AND PROJECT DEVELOPMENT ACADEMY (DUPA)
Turkey took over the G20-2015 term presidency as of 01.01.2014. G20 which is the most important forum of interstate cooperation has established after the Asian Financial Crisis with the decision of seven financial banks of developed countries on 09.26.1999. The first meeting has been held with the participation of 19 countries and financial banks/central banks presidencies on 01.15/16.1999 in Berlin. In the early 2000s, the G20 meetings -participation was kept at the ministerial level- were held in Washington with the participation of leaders after 2008. Since 2008, G20 meetings have been held at the level of country leaders, in addition to the working group and ministerial-level meetings held throughout the year.
The first meeting of Think 20 (T-20) group which has formed by G20 held its first meeting with the representatives of think tanks from 15 countries during the term presidency of Mexico. There has been recorded a significant increase in both the number of members and programmes of T20 during the term presidency of Australia and Russia.
During Turkey’s G20-2015 term presidency, the organisation and coordination task of T20 will be carried out by The Economic Policy Research Foundation of Turkey (TEPAV). DUPA which was established within the Istanbul Ticaret University is a member of the T20 National Consultative Committee created by TEPAV.

With the knowledge and experience of Istanbul Ticaret University, opportunities and resources are to increase the competence of individuals in coordination with the relevant units, to increase the competitiveness of companies, and to make evaluations focused on updating the functions of public institutions.
