Istanbul Ticaret University was founded in 2001 by the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce Education and Social Services Foundation.
Our university comprises six faculties (Humanities and Social Sciences, Business, Law, Communication, Engineering, Architecture and Design), Vocational School, English Preparatory School, two institutes (Institute of Graduate Education and Graduate School of Trade and Finance), and 15 application and research centers. Our university, which had only 73 students at the beginning, continues its education and training activities with nearly 10,000 students and over 300 academicians today.
Located in the distinguished districts of Sütlüce, Küçükyalı, and Eminönü in Istanbul, one of the world’s cultural capitals, our Sadabad, Hezarfen, and Ahi Çelebi campuses offer education in line with scientific and technological developments, as well as opportunities for global research and cultural and artistic activities.
The strong support of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce Education and Social Services Foundation, established by the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, one of the largest and most established chambers of commerce in Türkiye and the world, plays a major role in ensuring that every student who chooses our university receives a professionally equipped, universal education that integrates theory and practice without breaking away from the realities of life.
At our University, where the number of departments providing education in English is increasing with each passing day, the medium of instruction is entirely in English in nine departments and partially in English in three departments.
As we move towards becoming an international university, we offer our students and academicians the opportunity to gain international experience through the Erasmus and Orhun Exchange Programs, which have been implemented within the framework of cooperation agreements signed.
As a student-centered city university where success is rewarded, one of our main assets is that our students study without being disconnected from social life and that they undertake proud social responsibility projects with the strength they receive from the university.
Our university, which has grown with the organizational and financial capacity of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce Education and Social Services Foundation and the institutional support of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, along with its academic knowledge, know-how, and expertise, promises its students not only an internationally recognized diploma but also a future with high standards in educational environments where academia meets sectoral and corporate experience for a quarter of a century.
