“Editing Practices in Cinema” training organized by Istanbul Ticaret University Visual Communication Design and Film and Animation Workshop was held on Wednesday, December 08 from Mac. Laboratory.

The guest of the event, Exxen Promotion Manager Mustafa Onur Balaban, in his speech titled “Editing Practices in Cinema”, came together with the students, talked about his career journey, his experiences and showed examples of his own work and the event continued in the form of questions and answers.

Mustafa Onur Balaban, Exxen Promotion Manager, underlined the importance of being able to exist and tell a story first of all. Stating that many directors start with editing in cinema, Balaban said that they can start with any editing program.

Stating that they should use the facilities within the Faculty of Communication before graduating from the university, Balaban stated that the facilities of Istanbul Commerce University Faculty of Communication are sufficient for this, and emphasized the importance of getting help from the teachers of the Faculty of Communication where they are stuck or blocked.

Stating that there is always a need for young, qualified and qualified personnel in the sector, Balaban emphasized that they should follow the advice of their elders with kindness, work hard and not be afraid of any job.
