Accreditation

Certain practical components of selected courses in the Aviation Management Department curriculum have been organized by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (SHGM), the national aviation authority in Türkiye. In addition, the department’s accreditation is conducted by SHGM. Our primary objective in authorizing departmental courses is to ensure, first and foremost, that our students receive a higher-quality, well-equipped, and sector-recognized education that is preferred by the industry.

The department’s accreditation planning has been structured in accordance with the document entitled “Airports Department Training Instruction – SHT-EĞİTİM/HAD Rev.1.”

The training areas planned to be covered within the scope of departmental accreditation are listed below:

  1. Air Cargo Operations

  2. Passenger Services

  3. Dangerous Goods Awareness

  4. Load Control and Balance

  5. Safety Management System

  6. Basic Civil Aviation Security

In this context, in line with our university’s vision, the Aviation Management Department has initially launched the authorization studies for the courses “Passenger Services” and “Load Control and Balance,” and the authorization process is currently ongoing.
