By maintaining communication with our graduates, we strive to contribute to their personal development, assist them in their employment processes, and make improvements in our processes based on their feedback.

Career Counseling
Graduates who wish to receive career counseling support can submit their requests to our Career Center. Career counseling services are provided by our staff every weekday, either in person or via online video calls using platforms such as Skype and Zoom.

We primarily provide support in the following areas:

  • CV Creation and Preparation,
  • Pre-Interview Preparation Process,
  • Preparation for Interview Techniques,
  • Communication Methods to Pay Attention to During Interviews,
  • Job Search Methods

Graduates can submit their career counseling requests through the following three communication channels:

  • They can send their requests to our Career Center’s email address: kariyer@ticaret.edu.tr.
  • They can also contact us through our Career Center’s social media accounts (@ticaretkamer).
  • Graduates can contact our Career Center at 444 0 413 to submit their requests.

Alumni Tracking System
Through our Career Center, we assist our graduates in finding employment by publishing part-time and full-time job postings on our career portal, accessible at “kariyer.ticaret.edu.tr”. To apply for job postings, you need to click the “Register” button in the upper right corner of our career portal and create your resume by filling in all the required information. After creating your resume, you need to click the “Log In” tab, also located in the upper right corner of our career portal. After entering your username and password, you can apply to the active job postings that appear. We also use our career portal as an alumni tracking system. In this way, we direct employment opportunities that we deem suitable for our graduates who are actively looking for jobs. In addition, we include advice from many people in the business world in the “Career Advice” and “CEO Advice” sections of our portal. You can learn about the sector by reviewing this advice.

Trainings and Technical Trips
We organize various trainings and technical trips throughout the year to enhance the personal development of our students and graduates.

Alumni Satisfaction Survey
As of 2021, we have been systematically implementing a survey to determine the satisfaction rates of our graduates with the education and services they have received from our university. Through this survey, we aim to improve our processes by gathering the opinions and suggestions of our graduates.

Alumni Meetings
These are events where our Rector, Board of Trustees Chairman, and the President of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce meet with our graduates in separate programs throughout the year. In these meetings, our guests share their experiences and answer questions from our graduates.

Online Alumni Chats
In our Online Alumni Chats event, we meet with our graduates who are actively working in the business world on an online platform. In this event, our graduates share their experiences from their university years to the beginning of their careers. We particularly address the questions listed below to our graduates, sharing their opinions and suggestions with our participants.

  • How should university students prepare for the working world now?
  • What are the most common mistakes recent graduates make when looking for jobs?
  • What are the most important things recent graduates should pay attention to during the interview process?

This event is open to all our graduates. By following our Career Center’s Instagram account @ticaretkamer, you can access the Online Graduate Talks held so far and follow our future events.

Online NGO Chats
We are holding an Online NGO Chat event on an online platform with officials from NGOs. In this event, we particularly focus on the importance and social benefits of volunteer activities. We also receive information from our guests on the following topics:

  • The Importance of Social Responsibility Work
  • Competencies Gained from Volunteer Activities
  • Joint Work of NGOs
  • The Importance of Teamwork

Online Book Chats
In our Online Book Chat event, we share a summary of a book we have read with our students and alumni via live broadcast on our Career Center’s Instagram account @ticaretkamer. One of our main goals with this activity is to instill a reading habit in our students and alumni and to provide them with information about important works. This event is open to all our alumni. Career Days

Career Days is an event we traditionally hold every year with the participation of leading national and international companies. This event provides our students and alumni with the opportunity to meet with participating companies. Due to pandemic conditions, we will hold our 2021 Career Day event online. The event, which will take place on our university’s Zoom account, will also be broadcast live on our university’s YouTube account. In addition to answering questions, company representatives will provide explanations on the following topics during the Career Day event:

  • Company introductions
  • Recruitment processes
  • Sectoral trends
  • Training processes and orientation practices
  • Vertical and horizontal career opportunities
  • Career advice

This event is open to all our alumni. We will announce the event through our university’s and Career Center’s social media accounts.
