The Department of Aviation Management offers a four-year undergraduate program within the Faculty of Business Administration. The language of instruction is Turkish. Undergraduate education is delivered at the Sütlüce campus. The increase in air traffic and the number of passengers carried in our country has also led to growing interest in and demand for the air transport sector. In parallel with these developments, the air transport sector has begun to require a greater supply of qualified human resources. In response to changes and differentiation in the desired qualifications of personnel needed by the sector, a robust curriculum has been developed by intensive English instruction, oriented toward the acquisition of practical field skills, and enabling the synthesis of knowledge, skills, and competencies through internships and workplace training.
Given the international character of the aviation sector and the importance of foreign-language proficiency in the field, the program aims to ensure that students enter the sector rapidly and adapt easily to their institutions through English courses offered every semester.
Through the four-year Aviation Management undergraduate program, the aim is to educate individuals equipped with fundamental sector-specific knowledge and skills for employment in airlines, airports, and other aviation enterprises. Our graduates may work as specialists and professional managers at Turkish Airlines, TGS Ground Services Companies, Havaş, Turkish DO&CO, Çelebi Ground Handling, TAV, and other private airlines and air cargo companies.
The Department of Aviation Management at Istanbul Commerce University holds a leading position among universities providing aviation education, owing to its strong academic staff with expertise in aviation, an active Civil Aviation Society, an industry-aligned curriculum, accreditation initiatives, and sectoral protocols that have been established.
