Changes in contemporary science, technology and communication issues and the rise in their levels are changing our physical and socio-cultural borders. Today, human life is diversifying with new functions and new needs, new materials and technological systems, and the desire of people to live in quality places and environments brings the design of large, complex, featured and smart spaces and structures to the fore.
With its four-year program, the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design aims to bring in new professionals trained to meet these needs in the world of design. For this purpose; The main priority of our department is to train interior architects who can integrate aesthetics and knowledge, produce economical solutions, are distinguished, professional, expert in their own fields, and are effective at national and international level.
For this purpose, the national and international workshops, exhibitions and conferences we organize and participate in are aimed at improving the horizons of students in artistic, professional and scientific terms. Technical, cultural and research trips at home and abroad contribute to students’ communication, thinking, learning and documentation skills. Within the scope of harmonization with the European Union, international student and faculty exchange programs increase the cultural background and professional experience of the students.
Compulsory and optional courses, which are theoretical and applied in our department, are given by using modern computer technologies. Students have the opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills they have acquired in the courses, in the professional context, and to get to know the profession more closely. In addition to vocational education, it is aimed to provide students with knowledge and skills in technology, production, management and organization. The main priority of the department; To train professionals who are social, hardworking, able to keep up with developments, creative, systematically researching, entrepreneurial and ready to take part in the business world.
