Graduation Requirements

As stated in the Istanbul Ticaret University Associate and Undergraduate Education and Examination Regulation dated 22.06.2011 and published in the Official Gazette No. 27972 (Annex-1.1):

Article 11 – Students who successfully complete all compulsory courses, approved elective courses, practical training, and internships included in the curriculum of the program in which they are enrolled, in accordance with the provisions of this Regulation, are awarded an associate or bachelor’s diploma, specifying the faculty, school, or vocational school, the department, and, if applicable, the program name. The decision to award the diploma is made by the administrative board of the relevant unit upon the approval of graduation by a commission established by that unit.

Article 35 (1) – The minimum credit requirement for graduation, including compulsory courses and internships determined by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), is at least 120 ECTS credits for associate degree programs and at least 240 ECTS credits for undergraduate programs.

Article 35 (2) – Students who successfully complete all compulsory and elective courses, practical training, and internships, fulfill the required credit load, and achieve a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.00 are entitled to receive, depending on the program they attend, a faculty bachelor’s diploma, a school bachelor’s diploma, or a vocational school associate degree diploma. Final-year students who have successfully completed all required courses for graduation but fail to reach a CGPA of 2.00 may take grade improvement examinations for courses of their choice, with the most recent grade being valid and upon payment of the examination fee.

In summary, the requirements for graduation from the Department of Business Administration are as follows:

  • Completion of a minimum of 240 ECTS credits consisting of compulsory, elective, and university-wide elective courses included in the eight-semester curriculum.

  • Achievement of a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.00.

  • Successful completion of all compulsory and elective courses required by the curriculum.

  • Completion of the internship, if the student has chosen the elective course ISL440 Business Internship.
