Students in the Business Administration (Turkish) Department receive education on business functions over a four-year period. In order to graduate, a student must complete a total of 240 ECTS credits by the end of the program. The language of instruction is Turkish. Students in the Business Administration (Turkish) Department take both compulsory and elective courses, attend foreign language courses, and gain professional experience by enrolling in a voluntary internship course.
The first-year curriculum includes introductory-level core courses such as mathematics, general accounting, and introduction to statistics. The second-year curriculum consists of specialization courses related to the field of business administration as well as elective courses. In addition, students may enroll in the Business Administration Internship course starting from the second year. The third-year curriculum includes courses such as logistics management, brand management, and organizational behavior, along with elective courses. In the fourth year, which is the graduation year, the curriculum includes courses such as marketing research, business auditing, and strategic management that aim to develop students’ decision-making competencies in the business world.

Today, globalization, increasing competition, and rapid change are of critical importance for businesses to sustain their existence and achieve competitive advantage. These factors require businesses to update their management approaches and change their expectations regarding human resources. Businesses primarily seek human resources who can take active roles in national and global operations and adapt to different cultural environments. In our department, we focus on developing “talents” with national and global competencies and skills through curricula designed in line with the needs and expectations of businesses and employees.

We educate our students in all the functions required to manage a business and prepare them for managerial roles. Our graduates can find employment in various departments of national and global organizations operating in both the public and private sectors. Graduates of the department may work in planning, purchasing, logistics, production, marketing, sales, accounting, finance, human resources management, and business development departments. They may also establish their own businesses and become entrepreneurs.

Through cooperation with the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, leading companies, and professional organizations, we learn about real business practices, continuously improve ourselves, and integrate this knowledge into our courses. In line with contemporary changes and evolving expectations of businesses, we offer a comprehensive education program consisting of compulsory and elective courses and an elective internship in the fields of Business Management, R&D, Supply Chain Management, Production and Operations Management, Marketing, Sales, Finance, Accounting, Human Resources Management, Organizational Behavior, and Management Information Systems. In addition, we offer various elective foreign language courses.
We increase the number of applied courses that use up-to-date software. Our curricula are continuously updated in consultation with our sector advisory board in line with developments in Turkey and worldwide, with close attention to technology and digitalization. We place importance on innovation, entrepreneurship, and leadership, and emphasize the significance of moral principles and ethical values in business administration. Our department provides opportunities for students to grow into proactive, analytical, research-oriented, creative, innovative, and entrepreneurial individuals who contribute to their country and the world.
