ACADEMIC MOBILITY AND SPECIAL PROGRAMS
At İstanbul Ticaret University, we provide our students with diverse pathways to enhance their academic profiles and gain interdisciplinary expertise.
1. Double Major Program (DMP / ÇAP)
Program Definition: The Double Major Program allows high-achieving students to take courses from another undergraduate program simultaneously, leading to a second bachelor’s diploma upon graduation.
Application Requirements:

Registration: Must be a currently enrolled undergraduate student.

Success Rate: Must have successfully completed all courses taken up to the application semester.

GPA Criterion: A minimum Cumulative GPA (CGPA) of 2.72 / 4.00 (equivalent to 70/100).

Class Ranking: The student must rank within the top 20% of their class in terms of academic success.

Base Score: If the top 20% requirement is not met, the student’s central placement score must be equal to or higher than the base score of the target program.

Application Window: Applications can be made starting from the 3rd semester at the earliest, and no later than the 5th semester.
Graduation Requirements:

The second major diploma cannot be awarded before the student graduates from their primary (first) major.

A minimum CGPA of 2.72 / 4.00 is required in the second major for graduation.

Students must complete at least 240 ECTS credits, including all mandatory and elective courses of the double major program.

2. Minor Program (Yan Dal)
Program Definition: A Minor Program is an additional educational track that allows students to gain specialized knowledge in a field other than their primary major. While it does not provide a second diploma, successful students receive an Official Minor Certificate.
Application Requirements:

Eligibility: Open to all enrolled undergraduate students.

Timing: Applications are accepted starting from the 3rd semester.

GPA Criterion: A minimum CGPA of 2.60 / 4.00 is required.

Approval: Minor programs are opened upon the approval of the relevant Faculty Board.
Graduation Requirements:

Students must complete courses totaling at least 24 ECTS within the minor curriculum.

A minimum CGPA of 2.30 / 4.00 is required to complete the program.

The minor certificate is awarded only after the student graduates from their primary major.
3. Lateral Transfer (Internal & External)
Program Definition: Lateral Transfer allows students to switch from their current program to another program within the same university (Intra-institutional) or to a different university (Inter-institutional) before completing their degree.
Application Requirements:

GPA-Based Transfer: A minimum CGPA of 2.29 / 4.00 (equivalent to 60/100) is required.

Score-Based Transfer: For students applying via Central Placement Score (ÖSYM), there is no minimum GPA requirement, provided their score meets the target program’s base score for the relevant year.

Placement Score: The student’s score must be equal to or higher than the base score of the program they wish to join.

Timing Restrictions: Transfers are not permitted during the first and final semesters of the program.
Application Process:

Dates: Applications must be submitted within the period specified in the Academic Calendar.

Evaluation: Candidates are evaluated based on their CGPA and central placement scores.

Course Adaptation (Intibak): For admitted students, an “Adaptation Commission” reviews prior courses to determine exemptions and identifies any missing courses to be completed.
