As the Department of Mathematics at Istanbul Commerce University, we aim to become a leading academic center at the national and international levels in both the fundamental and applied fields of mathematical science. Through scientific research, innovative projects, and strong connections established with the business world, we aim to transform mathematical knowledge into social benefit. By educating future scientists and industry professionals, we aim to be a department that develops solution-oriented contributions to disciplines such as data science, finance, engineering, and artificial intelligence.

Mission

As the Department of Mathematics, our mission is to provide our students with a strong mathematical foundation and to develop their analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. During the educational process, we aim to equip students with fundamental mathematical knowledge as well as applied knowledge in contemporary fields such as data analytics, financial mathematics, and artificial intelligence, thereby preparing them in line with industry needs. In addition, by enabling students to specialize in mathematical modeling and simulation, we aim to educate them in a way that allows them to conduct scientific research and take part in sectoral projects. Through collaboration with our university, industry organizations, and academic circles, we aim to offer students internship and career opportunities and to educate our graduates as professionals who can effectively use their mathematical knowledge in society and the business world.
