Our university students Aslı Uzun and Zeynep İnan have been awarded TÜBİTAK 2209-A support for their project examining women’s career journeys in the banking sector.

Our university’s Political Science and International Relations (English) Department students Aslı Uzun and Zeynep İnan have been awarded funding under the TÜBİTAK 2209-A University Student Research Projects Support Program.
RESEARCH TOPIC: BARRIERS FACED BY WOMEN
The project, titled “Challenges Faced by Women in Their Career Advancement in the Financial Sector: The Case of Eminönü District,” will examine the social and institutional barriers encountered by women working in public and private banks during their career development.
DATA WILL BE COLLECTED USING A SURVEY METHOD
The study will use a face-to-face survey method as part of field research. The data obtained will be analyzed using the SPSS program. The research is being conducted under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ömer Çaha, a faculty member of our University’s Department of Political Science and International Relations (English).
OBJECTIVE: TO HIGHLIGHT INEQUALITIES AND GENERATE SOLUTIONS
The project aims to reveal the inequalities women face in their career development and to develop gender-based solutions to these problems.
