The Commercial Diplomacy Workshop, organized in collaboration between Istanbul Ticaret University Continuing Education Center and Young MÜSİAD, concluded with a final lecture attended by DEİK President Nail Olpak. Participants were awarded certificates of achievement at the end of the 17-week program.
The Commercial Diplomacy Workshop, organized by Istanbul Ticaret University Continuing Education Center (SEM) in collaboration with Young MÜSİAD, was held between February 5 and June 24, 2025. Designed for students pursuing undergraduate and graduate degrees in Turkey, the program aimed to equip young people with expertise in commercial diplomacy. The program was successfully completed with a final ceremony hosted by the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEİK).
PARTICIPATION AND SUPPORT FROM OUR UNIVERSITY
The workshop program was coordinated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Uğur Yasin Asal, Head of the Department of Political Science and International Relations at our university. SEM Director Metin Özyürek and SEM expert Seyhan Sıvacı Korkmaz also participated in the final lecture.
FINAL LECTURE BY DEİK CHAIRMAN NAİL OLPAK
In the final lecture of the program, Nail Olpak, Chairman of the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEİK), addressed the participants. Olpak inspired young people with his international trade vision, diplomatic experiences, and insights into Türkiye’s global economic role, delivering an important closing lecture to the workshop process.
CERTIFICATES PRESENTED
During the 17-week training process, participants had the opportunity to receive training from expert academics and leading figures in the business world. At the end of the program, 18 successful participants were presented with a ‘Commercial Diplomacy Workshop Certificate of Achievement’ by Istanbul Ticaret University Continuing Education Center.
