Academics of our University contributed to the “Global Transformations and Turkey” conference, where scientists from around the world came together to discuss the effects of global transformations on Turkey, with a joint statement.
Istanbul University Beyazıt Campus hosted the conference titled “Global Transformations and Turkey” organized by the International Relations Working Group of the Turkish Academy of Sciences (TÜBA) on 18-20 April 2024. The conference brought together more than 60 scientists from around the world to discuss the impact of global transformations on Turkey.
ACADEMICS OF OUR UNIVERSITY CONTRIBUTED TO THE CONFERENCE WITH A JOINT STATEMENT
Four distinguished academics from our university contributed to the conference. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Said Yazıcıoğlu, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Prof. Dr. Nazım Ekren, Lecturer at the Department of Economics, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Uğur Yasin Asal, Head of the Department of Political Science and International Relations, and Dr. Mefule Fındıkçı Erdoğan co-authored a paper titled “Enhancing the Economic Diplomacy Capacity and Performance in Turkey in the New Global Political Economy Environment: A Model Proposal”.
The conference, organized in English, provided academics, policymakers and the general public with a broad academic perspective on global transformations.
