Research Areas
The Department of Political Science and International Relations (English) at Istanbul Commerce University conducts research that examines political, economic, and social processes at the national and international levels in a multidimensional manner. Adopting an interdisciplinary approach, the department analyzes the dynamic relationships between the state, international organizations, civil society, and individuals from the perspective of political science and international relations.

The department’s primary research areas focus on topics such as international security, foreign policy analysis, European Union studies, global governance, democracy and human rights, development and environmental policies, regional integration processes, and global power balances. In addition, faculty members and students actively carry out work within the scope of European Union projects (Erasmus+, Horizon Europe, etc.), TÜBİTAK-supported research projects, and other national/international funding programs.
