On April 24, 2024, an online seminar on “Metaverse and Digital Design” was held with Toprak Temel as part of the Spring conferences. Temel stated that the Metaverse world has been developing rapidly in the last 10 years. He stated that the Metaverse is a parallel universe, a plane in space time, and a transfer of the public space into the virtual space. He explained that the Metaverse universe is a way of creating a digital life by transferring the way of life on Earth to the digital universe. He stated that with the help of artificial intelligence, Metaverse has experienced and will experience a serious rise. He talked about creative economies, human interface, spatial computing, infrastructure, experience, decentralization and discovery, which are the stakeholders that make up this universe. He stated that production for Metaverse could be made by using several programs in an integrated manner. He stated that the most important professional groups in the future may be artificial intelligence management, use and expertise. He explained that the ownership and ownership of commodities within the Metaverse is possible thanks to “Qualified Intellectual Titles (NFT)”. He defined the concepts of virtual reality, augmented reality, mixed reality and extended reality and talked about their differences. At the end of the seminar, Temel visually shared video examples and brand advertisements created with digital design.
