The Management Information Systems (MIS) Department was established under the Faculty of Business Administration at İstanbul Ticaret University on July 3, 2023 and commenced its academic activities with English as the medium of instruction.

The department welcomed its first cohort of students in 2023 at the Sütlüce Campus and currently hosts preparatory, first-year, and second-year students. The department is expected to graduate its first students in the 2026-2027 academic year.
