INTERNATIONAL TRADE (TURKISH) (THESIS and NON-THESIS) MASTER’S PROGRAM

 

GENERAL INFORMATION

International Trade master’s program is principally designed to prepare students for employment in business. This career-wise program provides the opportunity for students to gain a strong theoretical background in international marketing, international economics, and international business administration with special emphasis of the process and impact of globalization.

In this program, students will study how the world is connected through trade and the way it affects businesses, as producers and exporters. During the courses, they will consider these issues through the lenses of different disciplines. They will explore the impact of international trade on national economy, from both the academic and business perspectives thanks to our experienced academic staff.

The master’s program in International Trade will open doors to a career as a senior executive or international trade specialist in leading industry companies and non-governmental organizations around the world. The program also provides a solid theoretical and methodological foundation for those who wish to pursue a doctoral degree program and embark an academic career.

Learning Outcomes of the International Trade Master’s Program

  • Using programs related to international trade information systems. Related Courses: Econometric Analysis in International Trade.
  • Understanding the basic concepts and theories of international trade and their national and international implementation and using this theoretical and empirical knowledge in business and academic life. Related Courses: International Trade Theory and Current Approaches.
  • Establishing a link between the international trade theories and the realities of commercial life. Related Courses: Multilateral Trade System, Foreign Trade Policy
  • Defining the business functions on the scale of international business functions. Related Courses: Marketing Management
  • Developing an awareness of business ethics and social responsibility. Related Courses: Business Ethics.
  • Producing alternative solutions that reflect the efficiency and efficiency understanding in international trade. Related Courses: Conflict Resolution in International Trade.
  • Analyzing the social sciences as a knowledge of methodology. Related Courses: Computer Applications Analysis in Social Sciences
  • Conducting an analysis of exogenous and endogenous variables of the international environment and project feasibility. Related Courses: Investment Management and Policies in International
  • Studying national, international and global institutional actors through taking into account the interregional balances. Related Courses: International Economic Organizations, Globalization and Global Enterprises, EU and Integration.

General Conditions

  • A minimum score of 55 from ALES Score Type for Master’s Programs with Thesis.
  • ALES is not required for Non-Thesis Master’s Programs.
  • Not accepting “Special Student” applications for Master’s Programs with Thesis
  • For male candidates; Submission of Military Discharge or Postponement Certificate.

Education

  • Instruction language is Turkish
  • Obligation to attend classes is 70%
  • The courses in the Scientific Preparation Program are non-credit courses.
  • Application Days and Hours: Classes will be held on weekdays, if necessary, on weekends (Saturdays). Lessons; It is held between 18:30-19:20, 19:25-20:15 and 20:20-21:10 hours.
