DOUBLE MAJOR-MINOR / LATERAL TRANSFER

Double Major Program (ÇAP)

Program Description:
The Double Major Program allows successful students enrolled in one undergraduate program to take courses from another program and earn a second diploma upon graduation.

Application Requirements:

  • Must be registered in an undergraduate program at the university

  • Must have successfully completed all courses up to the semester of application

  • Must have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.72/4.00 (equivalent to 70/100)

  • Must rank within the top 20% of their class in terms of academic performance

  • If not in the top 20%, must meet the base score requirement of the second major program

  • Applications for a double major can be made starting from the 3rd semester and no later than the 5th semester

Graduation Requirements:

  • Students cannot receive a second diploma before graduating from their primary major program

  • A minimum CGPA of 2.72/4.00 is required to graduate from the double major program

  • The double major curriculum, including compulsory and elective courses, must total at least 240 ECTS credits

Minor Program

Program Description:
The Minor Program enables students to gain knowledge in an additional field related to their main area of study. Unlike the double major, it does not grant a second diploma; however, students who successfully complete the program receive a Minor Certificate.

Application Requirements:

  • Must be enrolled in an undergraduate program

  • Applications can be made starting from the 3rd semester

  • Must have a minimum CGPA of 2.60/4.00

  • Minor programs are opened upon the approval of the Faculty Board

Graduation Requirements:

  • Students must complete courses totaling at least 24 ECTS credits

  • Must have a minimum CGPA of 2.30/4.00

  • Students who successfully complete the minor program are awarded a Minor Certificate

  • Students who have not yet graduated from their main program cannot receive the certificate even if they have completed the minor program

Transfer (Internal and External)

Program Description:
The Transfer Program allows students to move from one higher education program to another before completing their current program. Transfers may occur internally (within the same university) or externally (between different universities).

Application Requirements:

  • Open to both associate and undergraduate students

  • A minimum CGPA of 2.29/4.00 (equivalent to 60/100) is required

  • Applicants must have a placement score equal to or higher than the base score of the target program

  • Transfers are not permitted in the first or final semesters

  • Students applying for transfer based on their ÖSYM (central placement) score are not subject to CGPA requirements

Application Process:

  • Applications are accepted within the dates specified in the academic calendar

  • Applicants are evaluated based on their CGPA and central placement scores

  • Accepted students undergo course equivalency evaluation, and any missing courses are identified
