Editing and Color Editing Workshop was held!

Within the scope of the “Editing and Color Editing Workshop” organized by the Visual Communication Design and Film Animation Workshop on Friday, December 2, editor Erkan Özekan and colorist Yücel Kurtul were with the students.

In the workshop, where many issues related to the post-production stage, which is one of the Film Production Management processes, were discussed, the concepts of editing and color were emphasized and students were informed about the functioning in the sector, the processes of editing and color processes, the programs used in this context and the working styles of these programs.

“It is necessary to watch a lot and read a lot”

Kurtul and Özekan emphasized the importance of watching a lot and reading a lot in this field and said that students should learn from all kinds of sources in all languages and that it is necessary to learn more than one language for this. Özekan stated that sometimes watching movies with the sound turned off would also be useful in terms of developing an eye for fiction.

Kurtul and Özekan, who proceeded interactively by answering the questions of the students throughout the workshop, also told the students about the processes of their career lives and the experiences they have gained so far.

At the end of the event, Faculty of Communication Lecturer. Assist. Alp Eren Erbay and Uzm. Galip Berk Saraç presented certificates of participation to the event speakers Erkan Özekan and Yücel Kurtul.
