Istanbul Ticaret University Faculty of Communication, Department of Visual Communication Design Dr. Lecturer. The first live broadcast of the program called “Close Plan”, which will be held live every week by Gözde Sunal, Faculty of Communication, Department of Visual Communication Design, was held on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at 14.00. The first guest of the program was art director Natali Yeres. Prof. Dr. Lecturer. Prof. Dr. Gözde Sunal was accompanied by Visual Communication Design 3rd year student İlayda Vona in this live broadcast. The pleasant conversation, which lasted for about an hour, was presented live on the TIMM TV youtube channel. Students also accompanied the event held in the TV studio.
Yeres answered the questions “What is art direction, what is an art director, who is an art director, at what point in the film production management process, when did art direction take its place in Turkish cinema and become an established unit?” by giving examples from well-known names of Turkish cinema. The cinematographic features of Derviş Zaman’s “Nokta”, Yeşim Ustaoğlu’s “Güneşe Yolculuk”, Kudret Sabancı’s “Lalelide Bir Azize” and Tayfun Pirselimoglu’s black and white film “Yol Kenarı”, which Natali Yeres was the art director of, art direction, the importance of color in art direction and in film were mentioned by giving examples through these films. Towards the end of the live broadcast, questions from the students were answered.
Natalie Yeres was presented with a plaque of appreciation for her participation and flowers to celebrate International Women’s Day on March 8. The program called Close Plan was organized by Dr. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gözde Sunal will be broadcast live on TIMM TV youtube channel with a different guest and a different topic every week.
