Double Major-Minor / Lateral Transfer

🎓 Double Major Program (DMP)

📍 Program Description:
The Double Major Program (DMP) allows academically successful students to take courses from another undergraduate program and obtain a second diploma upon completion.

Application Requirements:

  • Must be enrolled in an undergraduate program at the university
  • Must have successfully completed all courses up to the application period
  • Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) must be at least 2.72/4.00 (70/100)
  • The student must be in the top 20% of their class in terms of academic ranking
  • Must meet the minimum base score requirement of the second major program (if not in the top 20%)
  • Applications for the double major program can be made from the 3rd semester onwards, and no later than the 5th semester.

📌 Graduation Requirements:

  • Students cannot receive their second major diploma without first graduating from their primary major program
  • To graduate from the second major, the student’s CGPA must be at least 2.72/4.00
  • The total coursework, including compulsory and elective courses, must consist of at least 240 ECTS credits

🎓 Minor Program

📍 Program Description:
The Minor Program allows students to gain knowledge in another field in addition to their major. This program does not grant a second diploma; however, students who successfully complete it will receive a minor certificate.

Application Requirements:

  • Must be enrolled in an undergraduate program
  • Applications can be submitted from the 3rd semester onwards
  • CGPA must be at least 2.60/4.00
  • Minor programs are opened with the approval of the faculty administrative board

📌 Graduation Requirements:

  • Students must complete a minimum of 24 ECTS credits in the minor program
  • CGPA must be at least 2.30/4.00
  • Students who complete the minor program successfully will be awarded a Minor Certificate
  • Students who do not graduate from their major program will not receive their minor certificate, even if they have completed the minor program

🎓 Lateral Transfer (Internal & External)

📍 Program Description:
Lateral Transfer allows students to transfer to another higher education program before completing their current program. Transfers can be made within the same university (internal transfer) or between different universities (external transfer).

Application Requirements:

  • Both associate degree and undergraduate students are eligible for lateral transfer
  • CGPA must be at least 2.29/4.00 (60/100)
  • The student’s university entrance exam score must be equal to or higher than the base score of the target program
  • Transfers cannot be made in the first or last semester
  • Students transferring based on their university entrance exam score are not subject to CGPA restrictions

📌 Application Process:
1️⃣ Applications are accepted within the dates specified in the academic calendar.
2️⃣ Students’ CGPA and centralized placement scores are evaluated.
3️⃣ For accepted students, a course exemption and credit transfer evaluation is conducted.
