Since 2022, our department has launched the “Artificial Intelligence Concentration Program in Social Processes and Systems.”

The aim of the program is to provide students with a strong theoretical foundation and high practical value, built around artificial intelligence and related methods, which represent one of the most influential approaches of the information age. Through a series of courses ranging from programming and artificial intelligence algorithms to modeling and simulation paradigms, as well as economics and business intelligence, students will develop highly functional, real-world–oriented skills in problem solving and process improvement.

Participation in the program is voluntary. For students who enroll, the program includes 8 required elective courses and 4 optional elective courses. Students in the Department of Economics may fulfill both their elective course requirements and the Artificial Intelligence Concentration Program requirements by selecting 8 out of their 12 elective courses from the courses offered within this program. Therefore, the total number of courses required for graduation will not increase.

Students who successfully complete the Artificial Intelligence Concentration Program in Social Processes and Systems will receive a letter of reference from the Head of the Department of Economics, describing the artificial intelligence training they have acquired and the potential contributions of this training to the professional world.
