APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR MASTER’S PROGRAMS
For Master’s Programs, candidates are required to have a minimum score of 55 in the relevant ALES* score type. For English Master’s Programs, candidates must have obtained a minimum score of 65 from the YDS/YÖKDİL exams conducted by ÖSYM, or an equivalent score from one of the international foreign language exams accepted by the Inter-university Board. A foreign language exam is administered at the university for candidates who do not possess a language certificate.
Different conditions may be required on a program basis. Please contact the relevant institute for details.
For admission to Business Administration (English), Economics (English), and African Studies (English) programs (a minimum of 55 from the Foreign Language Exam conducted by ÖSYM is required for the International Relations Master’s Program), the requirement is a minimum score of 65 from the Foreign Language Exam conducted by ÖSYM or an equivalent score from an international English foreign language exam accepted by the ÖSYM Executive Board. Candidates who cannot meet this requirement are required to be successful in the University’s “Foreign Language Proficiency Exam”.
EDUCATION AND INSTRUCTION (MASTER’S)

Classes are held between 18:30 – 21:30 on weekdays and on weekends when necessary.

Our university’s graduate education is conducted simultaneously at Sütlüce and Küçükyalı campuses, and new programs can be implemented in both campuses in line with academic needs.

Master’s Programs with Thesis consist of 8 courses, a seminar course, and a thesis study.

Non-Thesis Master’s Programs consist of 10 courses and a term project.

70% attendance is compulsory for the courses.

In order for the student to take the master’s thesis defense, they must have an article published in national or international refereed journals.
Scientific Preparation Courses

Scientific preparation courses are provided to candidates who have received their undergraduate degrees in fields different from the master’s program they applied to, in order to eliminate deficiencies.

Scientific preparation courses are non-credit courses and are subject to an additional fee.

Candidates applying to the PhD Program with a Master’s degree must have obtained a minimum score of 55 in the relevant ALES score type.

For the PhD Program, a minimum score of 55 from the YDS/YÖKDİL exam conducted by ÖSYM (minimum 65for the Business Administration English PhD program) or an equivalent score from one of the international foreign language exams accepted by the Inter-university Board is required.

Candidates applying to the Private Law PhD program and the International Trade and European Union LawPhD program must have completed their undergraduate education in the field of “Law”.

A YDS/YÖKDİL score of 65 is required for English programs, and 55 for the Political Science and International Relations program.
