THE MISSION OF THE DEPARTMENT

Our department’s mission is conducting research in the direction of national and global expectations and offering value to its stakeholders; and training innovative employees, leaders, and entrepreneurs who behave ethically, are aware of their social responsibilities, improve themselves with the understanding of lifelong learning, can work in teams, and use technology.

PROGRAM LEARNING OBJECTIVES

A1) Our students acquire the level of competence to learn about business functions and make the right decision by using this knowledge in changing organizational and environmental conditions.

A2) Our students can exhibit ethical behavior in the businesses they work for, ensure the fulfillment of social responsibilities, and evaluate the social and legal consequences of their activities.

A3) Our students acquire information about technological developments and have the ability to use technological applications in businesses.

A4) With the knowledge of a foreign language, our students can be employees, managers and entrepreneurs who will enable the businesses they work to expand to national and global markets and offer value there.

A5) Our students can have the ability to conduct research, they collect and analyze data and make the right decisions by evaluating this data.

A6) Our students work both as a team and individually in the same or different disciplines and cultures.

PROGRAM LEARNING OUTCOMES

  1. Our students know the objectives, resources, stakeholders, environment, productivity, profitability and efficiency concepts of the business.
  2. Our students define business functions, the concept of organizational structure, organizational theories and current business practices.
  3. Our students can integrate this information and reach results by examining the current information published about the business environment, the economy and the financial markets.
  4. Our students can make inferences by integrating information about management, marketing, human resources management, accounting, and, production functions of business administration.
  5. Our students can discuss the effects of socio-cultural, economic, political, technological and legal changes on the mission, vision, goals, strategies and organizational structure of the enterprise and prepare presentations for it accordingly.
  6. Our students can perceive and internalize the cultural diversity and the principles of working together required to work in an enterprise in accordance with their capabilities.
  7. Our students can follow scientific and technological developments, adapt them to their businesses and present innovative ideas with the awareness which the research and learning process continues throughout their lives.
  8. Our students can organize and discuss information related to Marketing, Finance, Organizational Behavior, Management Information Systems, and Logistics.
  9. Our students can analyze existing data, acquire and use practical physical skills to generate ideas which will provide national and global competitive advantage.
  10. Our students can develop projects on finding new resources and markets, also making new investments.
  11. Our students are in line with national-global expectations; can evaluate the legal structure of the business, its relations with its internal and external stakeholders, anticipate the problems which may occur in business life and design projects which will produce solutions to these problems.
  12. Our students can act by considering the concepts of corporate governance, social responsibility, ethics, and quality.
