QUALITY ASSURANCE SYSTEM
The Quality Assurance System encompasses all principles regarding the planning and implementation of internal and external quality assurance and accreditation processes for the education, research, and social contribution activities, as well as the administrative services of higher education institutions.
Quality assurance is a set of planned and systematic activities implemented to provide adequate confidence that a product or service fulfills specified quality requirements. It aims to ensure that expected quality requirements are met by employing a proactive approach regarding how quality requirements will be met. For this purpose, plans are made, implemented, checked, and measures are taken (PDCA – Plan, Do, Check, Act). Quality assurance strives to prevent errors before they occur by establishing systems that prevent error formation, rather than merely detecting existing quality problems. The PDCA cycle ensures that the processes within the system operate correctly and sustainably.
The Istanbul Commerce University Quality Commission was established as specified in Article 7 of the “Higher Education Quality Assurance Regulation,” published in the Official Gazette dated July 23, 2015, and numbered 29423. Its duties are defined in Article 8 of the same Regulation.
