AIM OF THE DEPARTMENT OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (ENGLISH)
The aim of the Department of Business Administration is to raise entrepreneurs, leaders, and managers who master management and business functions, think globally, and are capable of acting on both national and global scales for private sector companies, public institutions, and NGOs.
Our department boasts a permanent academic staff consisting of experts who are successful in their fields, recognized in academic circles, experienced, have strong ties with the business world, and are always accessible to our students. In their lectures, our faculty members incorporate case studies and current practices alongside theoretical knowledge. As a department, we educate individuals who are capable of lifelong self-development, conscious of their ethical and social responsibilities, able to think analytically, self-confident, capable of producing solutions to problems, able to recognize national and global differences, and able to offer value to the institutions they work for and their stakeholders.

Today, globalization, increasing competition, and rapid changes are crucial factors for businesses to sustain their existence and gain a competitive advantage. These factors compel businesses to update their management approaches and change their expectations from human resources. Businesses are primarily in search of human capital that can take effective roles in national and global operations and adapt to different cultural environments.
In our department, considering the needs of businesses and employees, we focus on developing “talents” equipped with national and global competencies and skills through curricula designed in line with these expectations.

We train our department students to become managers by educating them on all necessary functions for managing a business. Our graduates can find employment in various departments of national and global companies operating in the public and private sectors.
Graduates of the department can take part in planning, purchasing, logistics, production, marketing, sales, accounting, finance, human resources management, and business development departments of enterprises. Additionally, they can establish their own businesses and become entrepreneurs.

In our department, we offer a comprehensive education program consisting of compulsory and elective courses as well as elective internships in the fields of Business Management, R&D, Supply Chain Management, Production and Operations Management, Marketing, Sales, Finance, Accounting, Human Resources Management, Organizational Behavior, and Management Information Systems. This program is designed to strengthen our students’ equipment globally and nationally, covering all functions of business, by taking into account the changing expectations of businesses towards employees in line with the changes of the era.
Furthermore, we offer various elective foreign language courses to our students. We are increasing the number of applied courses where we use up-to-date software. We update our curricula in the direction of developments in the world and in our country by consulting with our sector advisory board, and we follow technology and digitalization closely. We attach importance to innovation, entrepreneurship, and leadership. We emphasize the importance of moral principles and ethical values in business.
