Political Science and International Relations (English) Undergraduate Program

The Department of Political Science and International Relations (English) aims to produce high quality graduates with a global perspective, interdisciplinary and analytical thinking. In line with this goal, our department provides its students with an education equipped with knowledge of economics, politics, international relations, law, universal culture and foreign languages.

The faculty members of our department consist of people who have a good command of interdisciplinary studies, closely follow current economic and political developments, and have significant academic experience and competence in their fields.

In the first two years, our students internalize the basic facts and concepts of political science, international relations, law, philosophy of science and economics with English courses, and from the third year onwards, they can benefit from a wide range of elective courses in the sub-disciplines they want to specialize in.

In addition to these elective courses, our students can gain experience in practical areas before graduation through professional seminars and graduation projects in the fourth year. For the social and intellectual development of our students, department seminars, study meetings and student society activities are intensively organized throughout the academic year.

Our graduates can represent Turkey in various ministries, especially in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, public and private sector organizations, media organizations, non-governmental organizations, banking and international finance sector, various international organizations, especially in the United Nations. Our students who want to continue their academic career can become academicians by continuing their master’s and doctoral education both at our university and various universities in Turkey and abroad.

Our Department of Political Science and International Relations (English) continues its journey as an ambitious department in its field at the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels by benefiting from the knowledge and experience of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, one of the most powerful chambers of commerce in the world.
