The Department of Political Science & International Relations
The Department of Political Science and International Relations aims to educate highly qualified graduates, skilled with a global perspective, interdisciplinary and analytical thinking. In line with this purpose, an education based on the knowledge of:
is provided to our students. Our Department members who have a command of interdisciplinary studies, closely following current economic and political developments, and have a significant academic experience and competences in their fields. In the first two years, our students mainly internalize the basic facts and concepts of political science, international relations, law, philosophy of science and economics with Turkish and English courses, and from the third year onwards, they can benefit from a wide selection of elective courses for the sub-disciplines they want to specialize in.
In addition to the elective courses, students can gain experience in pre-graduation practice areas with vocational seminars and graduation projects in the fourth year. Department seminars, study meetings and student community activities to develop the social and intellectual skills of each student are carried out intensively during the academic year.
The Department of Political Science and International Relations works as an ambitious department at the undergraduate, graduate and PhD level, benefiting from the knowledge and experience of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, one of the strongest chambers of commerce in the World.
