Management Information Systems Thesis / Non-Thesis Master’s Program in English

Traditional approaches in the economy have changed radically with new applications in e-commerce, business analytics, digital marketing and production, which have been reshaped with concepts such as R&D, Industry 4.0, and innovation.Today, while businesses are transforming into a dynamic, interactive and rapidly digitalizing structure with information system technologies, traditional economic and business approaches are insufficient in this regard. In this period when disciplines such as business, economics and interdisciplinary relations have changed form, the transformation in management information systems needs to be examined and understood more closely. Understanding the theoretical and practical applications of changes in the macro and micro environment within the framework of the new economy in many disciplines, especially in business, international trade, human resources, finance, operations and supply chain management, is among the main objectives of the program.
In line with our country’s goal of creating a global competitive advantage, it is extremely important to develop management organizational structures that offer high-tech products and services that dominate the value chain with high added value. In this context, it is necessary to explain and make sense of the structures of management information systems. Considering this reality, “Management Information Systems” is an interdisciplinary branch that supports data-based decisions and applications in the business world and can provide opportunities to train graduates who can meet the increasing needs. This department creates common courses with Business Analytics, Digital Economy and Marketing departments as well as Economics and Business Administration. Management Information Systems, in addition to being an interdiscipline that continues to be in great demand, meets the demands of the sector and academic stakeholders in terms of responding to the needs of the business world and providing course support with our current programs.
