The traditional Spring Conferences organized every year by the Department of Textile and Fashion Design started on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, with Designer Emre TEKER. He gave information to department students on topics such as branding processes, the place of artificial intelligence in design, the importance of designing according to need, and the drawing program used in the sector. Teker talked about the importance of creating infrastructure, vocational training, experience and following trends. He stated that in addition to traditional working conditions, it is now possible to design on online platforms, international sites, with digitalizable products, and that it is much more profitable to earn money in these media. He emphasized that in order to survive in the sector during the branding phase, the production power, budget, technical facilities, work distribution and team must be good. He expressed to the students who will graduate how important it is to work in manufacturing companies to gain professional experience before starting their own business. He answered the students’ questions in the question-answer session at the end of the conference. He stated that designing good products is not the goal to be successful; planning, advertising and marketing activities, sustainable production power and finding investors are important. At the end of the seminar, Head of Textile and Fashion Design Department Assoc. Dr. Irmak Bayburtlu Çetinsoy presented a certificate of appreciation to Designer Emre Teker.
