The Export Academy, established through a collaboration between the Ministry of Trade and the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), has commenced its undergraduate programs at Istanbul Commerce University. Offering comprehensive training covering everything from fundamental concepts of foreign trade to current export policies within its 14-week program, the university aims to cultivate the qualified workforce needed by the sector.
The Export Academy, established under a cooperation protocol signed between the Ministry of Trade and the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), will begin classes today at Istanbul Commerce University.
According to a statement from the Ministry, the Export Academy was launched under the protocol signed between the Ministry and YÖK to improve the quality of trained human resources in the field of foreign trade and to benefit from the expertise of universities in educational activities.
In line with the cooperation with Istanbul Commerce University, the course “Türkiye’s Export Policy and its Basic Components” has been included in the undergraduate curriculum as an elective.
The 14-week program will cover fundamental and current topics in foreign trade, from basic concepts and legislation to export support, e-export, international trade rules, payment and delivery methods, and market research. Topics such as global economic developments, product safety, free zones, and international trade data sources will also be covered.
The aim of the training is to enable students to evaluate Türkiye’s foreign trade policies, export processes, and developments in global trade from a holistic perspective.
EXPORT ACADEMY
Established on August 16, 2024, to improve the knowledge and skills of exporters, the academy organizes training programs in various areas of foreign trade.
The academy offers training programs primarily focused on export expertise, as well as e-export, TURQUALITY, inward processing regime, support management system, and export support.
In the training programs, Ministry experts, sector organizations, exporter associations, and experienced representatives from the business world share their knowledge and experience with the participants.
