Istanbul Ticaret University “7 Regions-7 Libraries” Project

Within the framework of its awareness of social responsibility, Istanbul Ticaret University launched a book drive and library building project with the slogan of “7 Regions-7 Libraries” in order to build libraries in 7 public schools that do not have a library in the 7 geographical regions of Turkey. The books to be collected under the leadership of Istanbul Ticaret University Library and Documentation Department and with the contribution of the participating Student Societies will be sent to 7 different public schools in 7 Regions of Turkey.

The campaign will continue until 7 libraries are established in 7 schools. Two libraries are planned to be established in 2 schools by the end of the 2022 Spring semester within the scope of the project, depending on the book donations to be made. The campaign will be announced again in the Fall semester of 2022, and the book drive and library building project will continue from where it has been left of.

Within the scope of the campaign, all kinds of books (novels, stories, children’s books) suitable for children at the Elementary/Middle/High School levels, as well as university preparatory books will be collected.

Academic/Administrative Staff and Students who want to donate books can deliver their books to the book boxes to be placed in the Istanbul Ticaret University Sütlüce and Küçükyalı Campus Libraries. You can contact us at 444 0 413 / 4483 for detailed information.
