The Department initiated the ‘Artificial Intelligence in Social Processes and Systems Concentration Programme’ in 2022. The program’s objective is to provide students with a theoretical framework and practical expertise in artificial intelligence and related methods, which are becoming increasingly prevalent in the information age and are relevant to the program’s students.
A series of courses, including programming, artificial intelligence algorithms, modeling and simulation paradigms, and economics and business intelligence, equip students with the skills to solve problems and improve situations in a manner that is highly applicable in real-world contexts.
Database Project
In our department, a database creation project has been initiated to present various microeconomic and macroeconomic data to all academic researchers, primarily to our University’s academicians, in a way that can be easily processed and adapted to their studies.
Within the scope of the study, publicly available data, especially data open to access from the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey Electronic Data Distribution System (EVDS) and the Turkish Statistical Institute Data Portal, are categorized. Then, the data in question is organized according to its structure in a way that can be presented to the end user as time series, cross-section, and panel data.
