Economics science has become a critical tool for understanding and improving the decision-making processes of individuals and societies in the face of economic, political, social and technological changes. With its strong theoretical background, economics enables you to understand not only the country and the world economy, but also the scientific basis of the economic decisions you make as an individual at any time in the course of your daily life. For this reason, economics is an important branch of science that provides you with the knowledge and skills that will enable you to make conscious decisions and behaviors at both individual and social levels.

It is extremely important to develop and update yourself in order to take part in the changing world order. In this regard, as an economics student, while learning the functioning mechanism of the economy, economic theory and policy, and economic decision-making processes, you also need to have the skills to follow technological developments and use new mathematical and statistical economic analysis methods in an age where technology is rapidly advancing.

While we, as the Department of Economics, strive to raise our students as individuals with these knowledge, skills and competencies, we also attach importance to your gaining experience in the requirements of business life by participating in events and projects organized at our university. Such activities will not only reinforce your academic knowledge, but will also allow you to improve your problem-solving skills and working collaboratively with colleagues in your business life.

For this reason, you should join the “Economics Community”, which is the student community of our Department of Economics, and benefit from the activities of other student communities as much as possible, and participate in the activities of various research centers of our University, especially the “Economy and Finance Application and Research Center” and the “Industrial Policies and Development Center”. We recommend that you increase your knowledge and experience.
