2.How many levels are there in the English Preparatory Program?
The English Preparatory Program consists of four levels. The students are allotted to their classes in one of the four levels as per their level based on the results of the Placement Exam held at the beginning of the academic term. It is necessary that the student complete all of the four levels with success or pass the English Proficiency Exam so that he / she can complete the English Preparatory Program education and thus start his / her undergraduate program studies. The students who pass the English Proficiency Exam prepared by the English Preparatory Program or who submit the scores of the internationally accredited exams accepted by Higher Council of Education to us are exempt from the English Preparatory Program.

3.What is required to do to be exempt from the English Preparatory Program (to study at the faculty without studying at the English Preparatory Program)?
Getting a score of minimum 72 from the TOEFL IBT (Valid for 2 years)
Getting a score of minimum 60 from the YDS exam (Valid for 5 years)
Getting a score of minimum 55 from the PTE ACADEMIC exam ((Valid for 2 years)
Getting minimum C from the FCE exam (Valid without any time limitation)
Getting 65 and a score above 65 from the English Proficiency Exam. The English Proficiency Exam is held three times a year, at the beginning of the academic year, in the middle of the academic year and at the end of the second term. There is no make-up for the English Proficiency Exam.
Our students who received English Preparatory education in another university, provided that three years have not passed since the completion of the English Preparatory education and if they graduated from the English Preparatory program at B2 level with success (with 65 and a score above 65) can submit their related documentation to the Student Affairs Office and English Preparatory Program Coordinator’s Office. They can get the related information concerning the validity of their document accordingly.

If you experience any problems with the information systems (ÖBS, LMS, etc.) used by our university, you can create a new support request regarding the problem you are having from the “BİM Support” section on the website of our university. Your problem will be resolved as soon as possible by the IT department of our university.
You are supposed to open a ticket on cozummerkezi.ticaret.edu.tr in three working days after the results are announced stating that your score should be reviewed.
Make-up exams are for students who have justified and valid excuses. Students whose excuses are accepted are entitled to take the make-up exam on the date set by the English Preparatory Program Coordinator.
You should contact the Department of Student Affairs for terms and conditions of scholarship and annulment of scholarship, and the Financial Affairs Department for your payments and debts.
Students who want to leave our university should contact the relevant faculty secretariat, not the English Preparatory Program, and apply to the FACULTY where they are registered with the application form for deregistration, the documents related to the reason and a photocopy of their ID. The student whose application is accepted is notified to the student affairs department by the Dean’s Office. Deregistration is done by the DIRECTORATE OF STUDENT AFFAIRS.
Registration freezing can be done at the beginning of the 1st and 2nd semesters. Registration freezing cannot be done in the middle of the semester.
Students who want to freeze their registration must apply to the Faculty Secretariat at the beginning of the relevant semester with the registration freeze application form, the documents regarding the reason for the registration freeze and a photocopy of their ID. The petition is examined and decided by the relevant Board of Directors. The student whose application is accepted is notified to the student affairs department by the Dean’s Office. Registration freezing is done by the DIRECTORATE OF STUDENT AFFAIRS. Registration for a maximum of two semesters can be frozen with a single application. No fee is paid for the frozen period.
12.How many modules are there in Summer School?
In Summer School,it is possible to take one module of education. Summer school is only for B1 and B2 students who fail in that academic year and a module of education consists of 7 weeks. Summer school fees are determined by the Office of Financial Affairs.

– Istanbul Commerce University English Preparatory Program has been accredited by British ‘Pearson Assured ’ which is an internationally recognized quality assurance and accreditation system developed by the world’s largest training solutions company,Pearson. Students who successfully complete English Preparatory Program are entitled to receive ‘Pearson Assured Certificate.
– Your certificate is submitted to English Preparatory Program after your application. You will be informed via SMS when we get your certificate. If you do not receive SMS, you can check the status of your application by entering cozummerkezi.ticaret.edu.tr .
