ISTANBUL COMMERCE UNIVERSITY IS THE OFFICIAL TEST CENTER OF THE TOEFL IBT TEST. OUR TEST CENTER IS LOCATED ON SUTLUCE CAMPUS.

TOEFL iBT® IMPORTANT NOTIFICATION!

1. The test result documentation obtained from the TOEFL iBT® test centers located in the universities merely is recognized by the Student Selection and Placement Center and the Council of Higher Education.
2. It is also required that the TOEFL score, which is valid for exemption from Foreign Language Preparatory Schools, be obtained from the test centers located in the universities.
3. The results obtained from private institutions or test centers are not deemed to be valid academically.

The TOEFL iBT ® test provides advantages to you in more than 160 countries and 11.500 universities as well as institutions across the world including countries such as Turkey, the USA, Australia, Canada and the UK.

All the universities across Turkey accept the TOEFL test. The TOEFL iBT test is an exam that has equivalence to the Foreign Language Test (YDS) recognized  by the Student Selection and Placement Center.

HOW CAN I APPLY TO THE TOEFL IBT TEST?

Please send an email to testcenter@ticaret.edu.tr for all of your questions related to the exam. The dates are also  to be published on our university webpage (Istanbul Commerce University).

1. You need to create a TOEFL IBT account, which is an initial step. Please follow the steps specified below for this purpose:
2. Please click this link: ets.org/toefl
3. Please click the TOEFL IBT Test Takers.
4. Please click the REGISTER link.
5. By logging into the CREATE AN ACCOUNT from the NEW USER section, please type the required information accurately and completely. You need to write your name and surname as they appear on your identity card (ID). Please do not use Turkish characters. Please also make sure that you type your telephone number without leaving a space. 6. The system is going to ask you to determine a user name and password. Please note down this piece of information since you will need that later on.
7. After you create your TOEFL IBT account, please “log out”. Afterwards, please log in once again by typing your user name and your password.
8. The system is going to assign you an ETS ID number at this stage. You can find this number on the right side of the “Home Page” which is below the “Contact Information”. Please note down your ETS ID number.

Please follow the steps specified below to apply to take the test:  

1.Click www.ets.org/toefl link and log into your OEFL IBT account.

2.Click the MY TOEFL HOME link on the home page.

3.Click the REGISTER / FIND TEST CENTERS, DATES link below the heading entitled MY TESTS.

4.Click the “Register/ Find Center/Dates)”  on the appearing page .

5.Make the payment for the test fee via your credit card by filling out the required information.

6.You are going to receive a confirmation email. Please check the information in this e-mail. Make sure that you have your confirmation e-mail with you when you come to take the test on the test day.
